Pakistan cricket fans have received good news as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a full ticket refund for two Champions Trophy 2025 matches that were abandoned without a ball being bowled. These matches include Australia vs. South Africa on February 25 and Bangladesh vs. Pakistan on February 27, both scheduled at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

  • Full refund available for fans whose matches were abandoned before the toss.
  • Australia vs. South Africa (Feb 25) & Bangladesh vs. Pakistan (Feb 27) eligible for a refund.
  • Hospitality ticket holders (boxes & PCB gallery) are not eligible for refunds.

How to Claim a Ticket Refund?

Fans who wish to claim a refund must follow the PCB Ticket Refund Policy. Below are the key details:

Refund Process:

  1. Visit select TCS outlets between March 10, 2025, and March 14, 2025.
  2. Present an original and undamaged ticket as proof of purchase.
  3. The purchaser must visit personally to claim the refund.

PCB’s Poor Preparation Raises Concerns

While the refund policy is a positive step, the PCB is facing criticism over its lack of preparation for rain-affected matches. Despite hosting its first ICC event in 29 years, the board failed to implement a strong drainage system, resulting in match washouts.

Impact on Pakistan’s Hosting Reputation

The abandonment of key matches has raised serious concerns about Pakistan’s ability to host major tournaments. Although the PCB invested heavily in stadium renovations, the failure to address rain-related issues has left fans disappointed and sparked debates about Pakistan’s readiness for global cricket events.
