As the high-octane India-Pakistan clash took center stage in Dubai, yet another Virat Kohli masterclass propelled India to a win against their arch-rivals on a Sunday evening spectacle. While doing so, the Indian number three, renowned for his routine of breaking records, became the batter with the joint most 50-plus scores in ICC ODI events.
Achieving the feat, Kohli equaled legendary Sachin Tendulkar in this unique landmark and has even gone one step further by doing it in just 51 innings. The 36-year-old scored his 51st ODI century and took India over the line in what was a dominating batting display from the Indian talisman.
While another Kohli special lights up the cricketing world, let’s take a look at the top five men’s players with the most number of fifty-plus scores in ICC ODI events.

The three-time world champion made his first appearance in an ICC event way back in the 1996 World Cup and the rest as we all say is history as he went on to become one of the finest match-winners for Australia in big tournaments.
4. Kumar Sangakara
The legendary Kumar Sangakkara, renowned for his elegant stroke-making, emerged as one of the biggest contributors to Sri Lanka in ICC events.
