Allah Mohammad Ghazanfar, popularly known as Allah Ghazanfar, was born on March 20, 2006, in the Zurmat district of Paktia Province, Afghanistan. The youngest among six brothers, his father, Khayal Mohammad Ghazanfar, a furniture business owner in Saudi Arabia, initially discouraged his cricketing aspirations. However, his elder brother, Atta Mohammad Ghazanfar, played a crucial role in supporting Allah’s journey into cricket, providing him with resources like new balls for practice during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Growing up in Zurmat, Allah displayed an early interest in cricket. Although his family emphasized academics, the pandemic presented him the opportunity to dedicate time to his passion. At just 18 years old, Allah Ghazanfar has emerged as a significant figure in Afghan cricket.

Cricket Journey: From Local Leagues to International Glory

Allah Ghazanfar started his cricket journey playing for state under-16 teams. Initially a fast bowler, he transitioned to spin bowling under the mentorship of his coach, Roze Khan, and quickly excelled in this new role. His performances in domestic leagues like the Shpageeza Cricket League caught the attention of selectors. He recorded remarkable stats, such as taking 4 wickets for 15 runs in only his second match for the Mis Ainak Knights.

In 2024, Allah gained recognition in the Under-19 World Cup, where he claimed 8 wickets with an average of 16.75. This performance paved the way for his debut in One Day Internationals (ODIs) against Ireland on March 7, 2024, making him the youngest cricketer to debut in ODIs for a permanent ICC member nation.
